About Me

I'm passionate about thinking deeply and talking openly about what shapes us. I'm motivated by the belief that we can change for the better.

Someone once told me that 'there are less masks' with me. It's the best compliment I've ever received. I love my family, the ocean, the rain, pastries, and tea. And one time, I swear I saw a unicorn. (It turns out it was a pony—imagination is a powerful thing!)

Schooling

2022 - Present

New School of Fundraising

I’m building my fundraising knowledge and skills through this innovative curriculum. So far, I’ve participated in workshops on donor stewardship, developing a case for support, Indigenous protocols, and the power of storytelling.

2024

Trauma & the Body: Level 1 Certificate

Trauma Informed Practice Institute

Training includes how embodied emotion and trauma memory is stored in the body and ways it can be released. The workshop provided wisdom, technical understanding, and exercises that I'm integrating into my personal life and work.

2007 - 2022

School of Life

I made a baby, worked through postpartum anxiety and insomnia, reconciled relationships, and practiced peace. I also participated in a collective trauma (aka the pandemic). The depth of character I’ve gained while not seeking formal education was invaluable. In short—I grew up.

2003 - 2007

B.A. in Pastoral Leadership

Pacific Life Bible College

My years at Bible College informed my values and how I want to show up in the world. I took the required courses and learned some valuable lessons. But it was during my time serving communities in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver or the slums of L.A. that I came alive. And when I snuck out to concerts.
